The Texas Federation of Humane Societies is a group of animal care and protection agencies offering assistance, knowledge and an exchange of ideas in support of each other. Business, governmental agencies and individuals are encouraged to join and participate. TFHS promotes the enforcement of laws for the protection of animals. We also support education programs that encourage humane treatment of all animals and a respect for all life. TFHS assists the Texas Humane Legislation Network, THLN, in distributing information regarding pending and existing animal legislation. The Vision of the Texas Federation of Humane Societies, a coalition of animal care and protection agencies, is to create communities that strive to alleviate animal cruelty and suffering by strengthening the human animal bond and promoting respect and compassion for all life.
